Arts Center Renovations

The arts are about to get their big break in Chardon and the revoations of the GLTG Arts Center have begun. Plans include creating a multipurpose room by adding walls, windows. flooring and a new access from the street. Future phases entail adding elements such as lighting.

“Having another space that we can use as a really beautiful performance space gives us a lot of options,” she said. “We’d also like to do events before and after shows there —  have a panel discussion after the performance at the theater or have a reception prior to. “(The theater lobby) is very cramped. It’s not the ideal place to be able to circulate and meet people. We’re also maxed out with the classes we can offer,” said Erika Hansen, GLTG executive director
