GLTG Workshop Intern & Volunteer Application  

GLTG IS HIRING STUDENT INTERNS & VOLUNTEERS, AGES 12-18, TO ASSIST WITH SUMMER WORKSHOPS

Intern Responsibilities

Help set-up for day’s activities 
Help settle children in as they arrive 
Assist students who need extra attention or redirection to be more involved in a positive way 
Oversee small group activities (games/snack/crafts) 
Carry out any routine chores assigned by director or instructional assistant or technical positions 
Assist backstage during tech and run of show 
May be assigned to help with props, costumes, make-up, set construction 
Help keep children safe. Do not administer any medications. In an emergency, seek adult assistance. 

Expectations

Be respectful of students, staff and parents/guardians. 
Focus attention on students 
Be a positive role model 
Use appropriate language 
Keep safety of students and self a priority 
Seek assistance from the Instructor/Instructor Asst. if unsure of your assignment 
Show up on time

Committment

You are expected to be present at every day of the workshop, including performances. 
If you must be absent due to illness or a prior approved commitment, you will need to contact the director. 
$10 per day will be deducted from your stipend per day missed unless other arrangements to make up time missed have been approved by the Educational Coordinator and Instructor/Director.

Compensation

The stipend for the 2018 Summer Workshops is $200 for Junior (Eric Carle Stories) and $300 for Elementary Musical (Treasure Island). Staffing for Annie Jr. is already complete. 

SPECIAL NOTE:
Please note that due to renovations at GLTG this summer, workshops will take place at Cardinal Middle School in Middlefield.
