Geauga Theater works with a diverse group of directors and strives to cast new faces and talent whenever possible. We highly encourage people of all backgrounds and experience to audition.
Auditions are held at the Geauga Theater or the Arts Center unless otherwise specified. Auditions are typically scheduled about two months before the opening date of the show. It is important to regularly check our website for audition notices. Auditions are open call and all roles are open unless otherwise noted.
Preparing for Your Audition
We recommend conducting some research about the play (and it’s composer/ playwrights) for which you are auditioning. Get a feel for its style and tone, and try to have it reflect your audition.
Musical Auditions will typically require you to sing approximately 32 bars of a musical theater style song. Dance auditions and reading from the script may occur if appropriate.
Play Auditions will typically require you to read scenes from the script in front of the director. Show specific requirements will be posted on the audition page of the show.
